...

Over past few years I went through some “hardcore” style changes. From white blond Karl Lagerfeld wannabe to Rock n Roll version of Adam Lambert, however through out the whole time my style was mine, I never followed the latest trends, or tried to look like certain people and copy their style. Even that I mentioned Karl Lagerfeld and Adam Lambert I never tried to copy their style, i got inspired by them. The difference between getting inspiration from someone and copying them is that when we get inspired by something or someone(it could be street style, piece of art, celebrity, designer, pretty much everything and everyone) we have a ability to chose certain pieces from their style and make it our , but when you copy someone you just wear a mask, you don’t show your real self. I think that too many people this days forget about embracing they personality and they try to fit in with the environment their in. My self I think that personal style is a piece of resistance. Its best of the best, a highlight, something unique that cant be replaced or changed, something that will last forever. Also I think that these day we don’t have real style icons, what we have is celebrities wearing what the designers send them, they are just like mannequins in a store. We need a change, we need to start expressing who we are, not just through actions, but also through what we wear.
